Inauguration of Campo Pequeno
Official inauguration of the Campo Pequeno Bullring, designed by architect António José Dias da Silva. The neo-Moorish style building becomes an architectural landmark of Lisbon, with a capacity for approximately 9,000 spectators.
1903
First Royal Bullfight
King Carlos I attends the first royal bullfight at Campo Pequeno, raising the social prestige of the venue.
1920-1940
Golden Age of Entertainment
A period of great cultural activity, with bullfights, variety shows and prominent social events.
1940
Rallies of the Estado Novo
During the Salazar regime, Campo Pequeno hosted large political rallies and demonstrations in support of the Estado Novo regime, attended by high-ranking figures of the regime and thousands of participants.

Technical innovation to meet the demand for the venue for various types of events.

Modernization and Electrification
Major modernization works including a modern electrical system and improvements to the facilities.

End of the Bullfighting Activities Society
End of SAT. Campo Pequeno is leased by a company to Manuel Gonçalves, Luis Ortigão Costa, Tito Basto, Vitor Seijo João Duarte and Luis Duque, who form the Campo Pequeno Urban Renewal Company.

2020-2021
Pandemic
Innovation and Adaptability: During the Covid-19 pandemic, Campo Pequeno was the first concert hall to reopen in Europe, with social distancing and testing policies implemented by the venue's team. It hosted the Santa Casa Portugal ao Vivo festival, whose objective was to reactivate Portuguese culture and musicians, with concerts at reduced capacity.
