Suede has just announced the "Antidepressants: Dancing With The Europeans Tour" for 2026. The tour will bring their tenth studio album, Antidepressants, to the stage for the first time, with a stop at Sagres Campo Pequeno on March 20, 2026. Antidepressants, released on September 5th, was critically acclaimed: MOJO awarded it five stars, describing it as "a defiant, death-defying record – both a joy trip and a memento mori". Uncut called it "the most intoxicating and unrestrained album since Coming Up", Record Collector described it as "exhilarating and thrilling", and Classic Pop praised an "intensely energetic" return. The current single, "Dancing With The Europeans," was described as "euphoric" by NME, while the single "Trance State" was highlighted for having "an impressive sense of direction," according to The Times. The announcement comes after the phenomenal demand to see Suede live. The special "Suede Takeover" program, held in different spaces at the Southbank Centre in London during August and September 2025, sold out completely for all six dates. In this new tour, the band presents, for the first time, Antidepressants live in an immersive and intimate show, revisits the documentary The Insatiable Ones with a live discussion, performs with special guests, and concludes with their first orchestral show in collaboration with the Paraorchestra. Since the release of Autofiction (2022) – their highest-rated album in 20 years (#2 on the UK Albums Chart) – Suede has played to the largest audiences of their career in over 14 countries. Described by the London Evening Standard as "the most visceral live act on the planet," they now return with Antidepressants, an album that, according to Brett Anderson, "is music for suffering people."
