CATS, the most famous musical of all time, returns to Portugal with shows scheduled for January 2026 at Sagres Campo Pequeno.

It premiered on May 11, 1981 at the New London Theatre where it ran for 21 years. Its success was repeated on Broadway. With music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, CATS is a true phenomenon of longevity that continues to attract audiences even today, captivating new generations. Based on T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats," CATS is a musical about the lives of a group of cats, their loves, squabbles, and mischief, who are confronted with the return of Grizabella, the cat who had the courage to leave her family to see the world but whom homesickness brings back. Will it be accepted? With "timeless music, spectacular sets and a superb cast" (Daily Mirror), breathtaking choreography and of course the unforgettable "Memory", CATS is a magical, absolutely unique musical.
