A Portugália was founded in 1925 as a counter in the factory on Av. Almirante Reis, where imperial beers and snacks were served while customers waited for the beer barrels to be filled. Eight decades later, Balcão has been reborn. Located primarily in shopping centers, Portugália Balcão offers fast and friendly service and serves the main dishes that made its original restaurant famous a century ago! Delicacies such as steaks (grilled or with our famous sauce), pregos (steak sandwiches), croquettes, and the illustrious imperial beer – a masterpiece passed down through generations – are prepared with care and passion, in light portions and at friendly prices.
